Other traditional methods of selecting and installing home electronics have their failings.
One solution has been the Retail Store. The benefit of a retail store is the selection of product, potentially of very high quality, and hopefully a person who can guide you to make the proper choices. The failure of the retail environment is that rarely do the staff have the know-how to be able to fully integrate all different aspects of today's complex installations. The traditional "stereo" stores do not have the expertise to design acoustic treatment or lighting control, or to tie products together in a fully automated environment. A worse risk is ending up with a salesperson who is making recommendations based on what is currently in the basement stock-room, and needs to be sold, rather than your individual needs.
A new-comer to the block is the Custom-Installer. The benefit of custom-installers is their ability to install a working system in your home and to tie different electronic systems together. The failure of the standard custom-installer is that most do not have access to top-quality products and do not have sufficient experience in order to install a truly high-performance system. Worse yet, a large number use pre-configured systems that they know they can install with minimal effort, not custom-tailored to the client at all.
At Integrated Home Consulting, we have developed a new model that takes the best aspects of the above and leaves the failings behind. Years of experience in High-End retail, access to top-level equipment and technical prowess without peer all allow us to design and install a product that will exceed anyone's standards.
